Get to Know Kevin R. Anderson

Sure, I’m an attorney, but I have also been a community service leader, a youth soccer coach and sports referee. Everything I learned in law school at USC is matched by my schooling on the soccer field. Kids and law professors are great providers of lessons about hard work, fairness, honesty and playing by the rules. I bring those attributes to work every day.

Here’s a little about my background: I was a high school valedictorian in Bakersfield, then graduated fron UC Irvine in 1980. I graduated from law school at USC and passed the bar in 1983. Then I worked for law firms in Southern California for 10 years before joining the San Luis Obispo law firm of Radovich Cumberland & Coates in 1994. I became “of counsel” to the firm in 1995 and continued in that capacity for 16 years. Now, with my broad background, I am specializing in estate planning and business formation. I am a member of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and I am licensed to practice in the Northern and Central District Federal Courts and in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. I also serve as a court-appointed arbitrator.

I live in Atascadero with my wonderful wife. I have two exceptional children who recently completed college. I coached girls soccer beginning in 1994 and became certified as a USSF soccer referee. I was certified as an adult leader for the Boy Scouts of America and I’ve been a member of Kiwanis International since 1987. I am a Distinguish Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Atascadero.
